The clubhouse at Stan Thompson Oval began as a solidly built, single-storey brick building serving the adjacent cricket and football ovals. A lightly built second level was added in the 1990s.

Working with Byron Shire Council, the current works repair and lift the quality of the existing amenities and open the building up to the whole community, with new accessible paths, parking and facilities. Stage 1 is nearing completion, with Stage 2 to follow. This will be the building’s third lease on life.
